Finally

I've known for a while that bilinguals can have dreams in either one of their languages. When I studied abroad in Mexico, I never really had dreams in Spanish. I'm still not quite sure while that happened, but from what I can remember, most of my dreams from that time were about being home or being at Notre Dame, so it made sense that they were in English.

Well. Last night I finally remember having a dream in Spanish! I was in what I presume was Mexico. I had to figure out how much the hotel cost, so I started talking with a hotel employee. It was all in Spanish! And I felt really comfortable speaking in Spanish in my dream. Hooray! :) It's interesting that it happened now, when I haven't taken a class in Spanish for over a year. I have been speaking in Spanish with some other TAs here, but I did that in Texas, too. Strange. No complaints, though. It was fun!

Happy dreams to all!
