Goodday sunshine

Happy June everyone! I know it's been awhile since I've last updated. These past few weeks I've been busy working and spending time with family and friends. It's been a lot of fun catching up with people. And work has been low key, so that's good too.

This past week Amy and I celebrated our birthdays. It was the first birthday we've both been home for in a few years, so that made it extra special. It was funny cause I didn't tell anyone at work, but then on my break, I'd check my phone or facebook, and I'd have lots of fun messages. It was a great little secret. After work, I came home and went on a run, which was refreshing. Then Jenn came over and everyone else came home from work. We had some yummy Mexican food for dinner (complete with homemade guacamole!). After dinner, we opened presents. I got everything from a gift card to buy the new Harry Potter book, to a DVD about multiples in the womb (ha!), to a cell phone for the whole year! Then we had some birthday cake and watched the Office marathon (that was an extra birthday gift from NBC). Overall, it was a great day!

Friday night I went to the Angels game with my parents. It was looking to be a disappointing game because the Pirates were up 4-0 in the fourth inning. But then, the Angels started playing their great baseball. The Rally Monkey appeared on the jumbo screen, and we were back in business. The Angels ended up winning the game in the 11th to go 20 games over 500. woo! To celebrate, we had the big bang fireworks show, which was very cool. It was a fun night!

Last night, a group of our high school friends got together. It was really fun to see everyone. It's crazy how grown up we all are - we all have full time jobs or are still finishing up school. It's like we're all responsible adults. But it was great to remember fun high school memories and catch up with each other.

Two and a half weeks til I go back to Lubbock. Time sure does fly!

Paz.
