Sports Illustrated picked the good ol' Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim to win the 2007 World Series. They even went as far to say that it would be a Southern California series, with the Angels beating out the Dodgers. Since then, of course, some of our best players have become injured. Chone Figgins broke two fingers and will be out for 5-6 weeks. Bartolo Colon is injured and won't be back to May. And then it looked like Kelvim Escobar's back was injured, but apparently it's nothing serious.
Sports Illustrated said we'd win the World Series because of our young up-coming talent. Hopefully it will be an exciting season! I'm crossing my fingers that Sports Illustrated was right.
