The school year is now in full swing. It seemed like this week the amount of homework I had tripled, so it's nice to finally have some time to relax. Though I do really miss random times hanging out with friends at ND (remember the time Jonny was helping Gretchen fold laundry, but then transfromed into an elephant? good times :P), I'm trying to enjoy the random times that creep up here. Some fun random times from the past week include: Kevin's bowling advice to me (he told me the goal was to knock down all 10 pins... ya think??); my roommate having the amazing ability to catch mosquitos with her hand (she's done this like 3 times... truly a gift); Kandis baa-ing (you know, like the sound a sheep makes) to Diane's dog because she wanted to talk to it. Yay for randomness that makes me laugh.

In my academic life, the best news of the week was that Dr. Farley agreed to do an independent study with me starting next spring! I am so excited to be able to work with him. woo!

And finally, I'm starting to get really excited for the RA retreat coming up in two weeks! I pray that it may be a fun, meaningful weekend, and a true opportunity for me to grow in new friendships, too.

Oh, and I think I'm going to buy a car. One day.
