Day 3

Alright, so I just about had a heart attack watching Notre Dame win in triple overtime. But fortunately, the drama is over (until next week...).

I've been keeping up with my running! On Friday, I ended up running in the afternoon, after teaching. Earlier in the day, when I was walking to one of my Spanish sections, the smell of the grass reminded me of the "dot run" I used to do in middle school for PE class. Once a week, we had to run at least three laps (each lap was half a mile) in 20 minutes. I remember trying to push myself to get that fourth lap under the time limit. I usually could, although I'd be huffing and puffing trying to get to the finish line. It's nice to think that now two miles is not quite as difficult!

I ended up running two miles 20 seconds faster than Thursday! I must have been eager to get the run done because it was getting late and I wanted dinner. Also, I had some Halloween candy, so that helped give me an extra energy boost! :)

I kept up my running streak this morning, too. I was thinking about trying to run three miles, but then I started running out of time (Aaron and I went to the North Florida Fair!), and I didn't want to push my tired legs too much. I went out and took it easy, setting a comfortable pace. I actually sped up as the run continued. I felt comfortable the whole time, and because I started slow, I had enough energy to finish strong.

Tomorrow I'll be taking a day off from running. If I have time, I may do a pilates DVD; we'll see. We do get to turn the clock back an hour tonight, so that definitely works in my favor!

Until next time!

Total miles in November: 6
