Just a thought...

RALLY MONDAY SET FOR OCTOBER 1ST AT ANGEL STADIUM

Scheduled to appear at the event are: The English Beat, USC Marching Band, U.S. Army Golden Knights, former Angels Tim Salmon, Jim Abbott, Bobby Grich & Chuck Finley, Angels' Broadcasters Steve Physioc & Rex Hudler

WHAT: Rally Monday will take place at Angel Stadium of Anaheim on Monday October 1st at 6:30 p.m. This is a free event for all fans and includes Angels' Alumni and broadcasters, live music from The English Beat, The USC Marching Band, The U.S. Army Parachute Team (the Golden Knights) and a spectacular fireworks show.

Fans will have a chance to win Angels Division Series tickets, Angels' autographed items and much more. The Angels' Team Store will also have Angels' playoff gear on sale.

WHEN: Monday, October 1, 2007 at 6:30 p.m. Gates open at 5:00 p.m.

WHERE: Angel Stadium of Anaheim. Parking and admission free to all fans.

So you think I'd be excited for this, being that it means the Angels actually made it to the play-offs. But no. Look at who's scheduled to play at the event. The USC Marching Band. I mean, really, why does the band for my least favorite college team have to root on my favorite baseball team. Don't you see how conflicted it makes me?

HA--A pep rally for the team--how fun. Maybe we can go and cheer them on. Hopefully the sc band will play the old "California Angels AOK" fight song. It's a bit tougher to sing "Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim AOK" to the tune but we can try. Hopefully fight on and this is the only song we play will not be sounded!
